James S. Gardiner - Atmosphyre Founder and Product Designer

“For 27 years, I’ve been passionate about precast concrete. What began in 1997 as an experiment to enhance my wood furniture designs quickly grew into a full-time business by 2001, specializing in custom countertops and fireplace mantels. In 2014, I shifted my focus to crafting unique, one-of-a-kind designs, leading to the creation of Atmosphyre.”

“Today, I’m focused on a project featuring innovative barrel ceilings, with many more exciting surprises in the works for Atmosphyre. This is just the beginning in the history of Atmosphyre contemplating a series of groundbreaking projects yet to come!"

When James isn’t hard at work in New York, he retreats to his home in the Bahamas, where he indulges in the island's vibrant culinary scene, savoring his favorite dishes at Latitudes and Zen. The Islands have become an incredible wellspring of inspiration for him, offering a rich blend of natural beauty, vibrant culture, and unique experiences that fuel his creativity and vision.

I knew I was different when my brothers all wanted toys for Christmas, and I really wanted wood, a hammer and a saw.

Aaron J. Gardiner - Company Manager

Aaron is the driving force behind our concrete and aged brass production, but his true artistry emerges in the creation of our exquisite hand-aged antique brass finish. As our Master Brass Finisher, he has meticulously studied aged brass masterpieces from around the globe, dedicating countless hours to mastering the nuances of this timeless craft.

Outside the workshop, Aaron is an adventurer at heart. In the winter, he carves through the snowy slopes of New York, Massachusetts, and Vermont, while summer finds him exploring the great outdoors, embracing the tranquility of camping beneath starlit skies. His passion for craftsmanship and nature alike makes him an invaluable member of our team.

Brittany Elbourn - Brass Manager

After visiting the area and touring Atmosphyre in October 2023, Brittany made the decision to stay and work alongside her younger brother, Aaron, immersing herself in the world of brass craftsmanship. Her boundless curiosity drives her to continually learn new skills and trades, making her a valuable addition to the team.

When Brittany isn’t expertly handling brass orders and infusing Atmosphyre with her vibrant energy, she’s off exploring the country in her custom bus, accompanied by her two beloved pups, Pasta and Sola. Her adventurous spirit and dedication to her craft make her an integral part of the Atmosphyre family.

John specializes in crafting our prototype faucet pieces, transforming conceptual sketches into tangible masterpieces. With his skillful hands and the precision of his vintage Bridgeport milling machine and lathe, there’s virtually nothing John cannot bring to life.

Yukon (aka fluffy love chair thief)

Named after Yukon Cornelius, this pup lives up to his name with the confidence and "roar" of a lion (or so he thinks). But don't be fooled—his bravery has its limits. Fly swatters? Terrifying. Handtrucks? Absolutely not. Blowing leaves? Pure chaos. Baby crickets? Nope, too scary. Beyond that, though, he’s fearless…🐾
